Plan & check / The whole cost
Get the whole bill in writing.
Ask what you pay now, what repeats, and what the bill looks like after an offer ends.
Separate the pieces before comparing.
The maker’s published price, a cash offer and the amount you pay through insurance can differ for the same medicine.
Some online weight-care services advertise a monthly fee for care and charge for medicine separately. The advertised pages behind this example were checked on September 26, 2026.
Tests can add a separate charge.
Ask whether the advertised price includes the visit, medicine, tests and delivery. Then ask when each charge repeats.
A low first price may have a limit.
A price example is semaglutide (Ozempic pen).
Its US offer charges $199 for each of the first two one-month supplies of medicine. This price was checked on September 26, 2026.
The first price is for new patients aged 18 or older who pay the whole medicine bill themselves, without using insurance. It applies only to certain starting amounts of medicine.
After those first supplies, the offer charges $349 or $499 for a month of medicine. The price depends on the amount of medicine your prescription calls for.
December 31, 2026 is the last day of the introductory offer.
Even if you have insurance, this offer requires paying outside it. You cannot ask your plan to pay you back. This payment stays outside your deductible, the sum you pay before your plan begins to share costs.
Ask the pharmacy whether your prescription qualifies for the first price and which later price applies. Ask it to check the offer’s rules for your insurance, including Medicare.
The example is a way to read an offer, not a quote for your care.

Ask for the later price as well.
Several drug-maker offers and savings cards set December 31, 2026 as the end date in their terms. This was checked on September 26, 2026.
Ask for a new price after the offer’s end date. The end date does not tell us what any later offer will be.
